We’ve finally finished heel-kicking and jumping for joy, and here we are, deeply honored to let you know that our original show JH:Mechanics of a Legend has been chosen by the Pittsburgh Foundation to receive a $50,000 August Wilson Center programming grant! Hiawatha Project has been selected to be one of only 6 groups to present work at the August Wilson Center over the course of the next year.
More details can be found in the recent Post Gazette article.
There is much to celebrate and also much to do! Currently, we are working with artists to further develop the script and compose original music. We are also preparing a fundraising campaign to fully fund JH:Mechanics of Legend’s world premiere and two-week run from February 9 – February 18, 2017 at the revered August Wilson Center.
Stay tuned as the momentum grows and thank you for being a part of it all.
